Tommy Car Wash Systems Warranty Policy
Products
TCWS warrants that the Products shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year after installation. During this warranty period, TCWS will repair or replace, at its option, any Products which TCWS determines to be defective in material or workmanship. Customer shall be responsible for all shipping and labor costs related to Products warranty repairs or replacements; provided, however, that at its sole discretion, TCWS may choose to cover shipping cost and/or to provide labor related to warranty repairs or replacements for Products deemed technical in install nature. For purposes of this warranty, the term “defective” shall not mean (i) discoloration or corrosion which does not affect functionality, (ii) a failure of a Product which results from lack of proper maintenance or inspection by Customer, or (iii) a failure of a Product which, by its nature, regularly wears out and must be replaced.
Services
TCWS warrants that the installation services shall be performed in a competent, professional, and diligent manner for a period of 90 days after installation. During this warranty period, TCWS will re-perform any installation services which TCWS determines were defectively performed. Customer shall be responsible for all shipping and parts/equipment costs related to installation service warranty work. For purposes of this warranty, the term “defective” shall not mean (i) a failure of a Product, or (ii) a failure which results from a lack of proper maintenance or inspection by Customer. Exclusions. The warranties set forth in this section do not cover (i) shipping expenses for repair or replacement, or any tax, duty, custom, inspection, or testing fee; (ii) costs of removing, disassembling, reassembling, reinstalling, or testing defective Products; (iii) products subjected to abuse, neglect, negligence, misuse, misapplication, accident, damages by circumstances beyond TCWS’ control, improper operation, or improper maintenance; (iv) Products installed, serviced, repaired, or altered by anyone other than TCWS or its authorized service providers; (v) equipment or building components not provided by TCWS; and (vi) any technical advice furnished by TCWS without charge to Customer with respect to use of the Products.
Disclaimer
The foregoing warranties are in lieu of all other express or implied warranties. All other warranties, including the warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed and TCWS makes no representations or warranties, other than the warranties described above, as to the Products or Services. TCWS shall not, under any circumstances, be liable to Customer for any shipping costs, business losses, lost profits, operational down time consequential, incidental, or special or punitive damages.
Exceptions to the 1 year
TCWS does extend our products manufacturers warranty to our customers, for items with a warranty period of greater than 1 year please reach out to our Client Service team on any possible claims.
Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact Client Services at 616-795-4893, or ClientServices@tommycarwash.com. We may require you to troubleshoot with our equipment support team and/or require photos before processing a warranty claim. Please, if possible, have your order number available.
Atlas Air Compressors – Your Atlas Air Compressors come with a 5 year extended warranty from Atlas. The 1st year is cover to cover (parts and labor), year 2 is major components only with labor included, years 3-5 covers major components only however labor is not included. If you feel like you have a warranty claim on your Atlas unit, please follow these steps.
- Contact TCWS Equipment Support to report the issue and complete any troubleshooting steps
- Provide a detail description of the problem that is occurring
- Provide a picture of the name plate on the unit (model and serial number)
- Provide a site contact name, phone number and email address.
- The Client Service team will work with you to schedule an Atlas Service Tech
- Please note you may need to provide a credit card application to Atlas to complete the visit. You will only be charged if the issue is not covered under warranty.
Champion Air Compressors

L05 Rotary Screw Compressor - comes with a standard 2-year air end warranty and option to enroll into a Premium Extended Warranty with Champion.
- 10-years on the air end, 5-years on major package components when you use Champion parts and lubricant, preform and log maintenance as required and utilize the free oil sampling program.
- Registration of the unit is required within 30 days of startup.

R-Series Duplex Piston Compressor - comes with a 6-year Premium Extended warranty.
- 2-year coverage on the package, electric motor, and air receiver and 6-years coverage on the pump (parts & labor covered at 100%) - excludes head valves which will have a 1-year warranty.
- Customer must purchase Premium Warranty Kit at the same time as the compressor, use only OEM parts and approved Champion oil.

- How to make a claim - schedule a service visit with your local Champion Compressor service provider, as long as the units are registered with Champion the service provider will handle the warranty claims.

Grundfos Pumps – Your Grundfos pumps have a 2-year warranty from the manufacturer. To process a warranty claim we will need to complete the following steps.
- Trouble shooting steps with our equipment support team
- Pictures of the name plate on the pump
- If a pump was purchased as a spare the sales order number if possible.
Once you have this is information, please reach out to our Client Service team to start a warranty claim. We will provide an RMA number to get this shipped to Grundfos for evaluation, please not that you will be responsible for all shipping charges. Grundfos will complete a top to bottom evaluation on the pump and provide an inspection report with their findings. From there your warranty claim will either be accepted or denied. If denied TCWS will provide a quote for the repairs of the pump.
Schneider VFDs – Schneider VFDs come with an 18month warranty, if you have a warranty claim on a VFD that you purchased from TCWS the following steps will need to be completed
- Call TCWS Equipment Support to troubleshoot
- Contact Schneider Support to get a claim started – this may require some troubleshooting steps as well
- Once you have a claim number with Schneider, TCWS will provide you with a RMA to return the VFD.
- The unit will be shipped to Schneider to get evaluated and possibly refurbished to be sent back to you.
Tommy 2.0 Vac Motor – The Vacuum motor on the Tommy 2.0 system comes with a 5-year warranty from the manufacturer. To complete a warranty, claim for you vacuum motor the following steps will need to be taken
- Call TCWS Equipment Support to troubleshoot
- Complete motor maintenance/cleaning (Cleaning and Maintenance Guide)
- If unit still does not operate an RMA number will be provided
- The units will need to be shipped back to our local supplier for evaluation.
- Upon completion of the evaluation the warranty claim will be accepted or denied.
- If units are not cleaning thoroughly a cleaning fee will be charged
- Heavy Corrosion - Fee $445.25
- Light Corrosion - Fee $341.25
- If units are not cleaning thoroughly a cleaning fee will be charged
- If the warranty claim is denied a quote will be provided to complete any repairs.
- All shipping charges will be the responsibility of the customer.
Electric brush motors – The Electric brush motors from Sumitomo come with a 2-year warranty. To file a warranty claim we will need the following information from you
- Picture of name plate on the motor
- Troubleshooting steps taken with our Equipment Support team
- Description of the issue with the motor
- Installation date – if original we will use your Grand Open date, if a replacement we will need the order number
Please note that water damage is not warrantable. If there is visible water damage within the pecker head or within the unit itself the motor will not be covered.
Returns/Exchanges
TCWS does allow for returns and exchanged within 30 days after delivery. If you wish to return or exchange parts from an order, please contact Client Services at 616-795-0805, or ClientServices@tommycarwash.com. Please have the following information available, order number and part number you wish to return/exchange. You will be responsible for return shipping and a restocking fee of up to 20%. Some exceptions apply
Once your return authorization is created you will have 30 days to return the part. If parts are not returned within the 30 day time period you may not receive credit for the parts and your return will be closed.
Refunds
Refunds are processed once an item is returned and evaluated. Refunds are made to the original form of payment, or a credit will be applied to your customer account.
Shipping
You as the customer will be held responsible for all return shipping cost; in most cases the return shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount. You also may be held responsible for shipping charges for any replacement parts. Some exceptions apply.
Customer shall inspect and accept or reject the products promptly upon delivery. In the event the Products delivered do not comply with the Purchase Order Contract (i.e. damage, incorrect quantities or specifications) the Customer has notify Tommy Car Wash Systems Client Service team of such noncompliance within 24 hours of delivery, or the Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the Products delivered and waived any noncompliance.
- If the items delivered are or appear to be damaged this should be noted at the time of delivery with the carrier (UPS or trucking company).
