Project Title: Tommy 210gal Tanks
- Replaces 400 Gallon tanks and 1000L tanks.
- The new tanks provide a significant cost savings that is passed on to Franchise Partners.
- 2 tanks will be plumbed together on site increasing the overall capacity of Reject and RO water.
- We have included a stand for these units for sites without a mezzanine – P-W-0110
Project Background:
- The new 210 gallon tanks are more cost-effective than the previous 400 gallon tanks, as well as the 1000L tanks. The new tanks offer higher capacity (when tied together) than the previous 400 gallon tanks. The color agent is compounded with the resin meaning that it blocks UV light much better than previous tanks. This will help prevent algae growth in the tanks.
- The tanks will be located in the mezzanine – if there is not a mezzanine, we offer a stand (P-W-0110) to put the tanks on, to feed pumps with gravity, rather than requiring a supply/booster pump: NOTE: Tank stands will need to be placed in close proximity to the AIO and RO for this to work. 4 total tanks take up the same footprint of the 2 400 gallon tanks and will utilize the same drain pans.
- These tanks also can be used with water treatment center OR Tommy RO. If using a Pureclean RO, there is a separate assembly that must be used (See Appendix A for details).
Details:
- Why: Cost-effective alternative, Higher Capacity, Tommy Design and tooling, lighter weight for installation, UV protection.
- Who: Project Lead: David Bouwman
- What: RO and Reject holding tanks Where: This upgrade will be used for all sites – Franchise, Non-Franchise, Equipment Only.
- When: Target release date Q2 2024. 400 Gallon tanks will be discontinued and Configurator will be updated immediately for the new RO/Reject assemblies. New tanks will be to Tommy’s early-Mid May. Sites will get the 1000L tanks until new tanks arrive at site.
- Install Test Site(s): Caledonia and Byron Center
Criteria:
- Mezzanine required – If there is not a mezzanine, add P-W-0110 to order.
- Requires Plumbing to connect 2 tanks together and plumbing to and from WTC/ Tommy RO and AIO (Tommy Installers).
- Electrician required for RO tank sensor connection to Tommy RO/ Water Treatment Center panels.
How to Order:
- See Appendix A for a flow chart, on how to order the new tanks. It is consistent for Franchise sites – does not change if there is a Tommy RO or Water Treatment Center. Different assembly for non-franchise (without Tommy RO/ WTC) and if there is a mezzanine.
