Work Instructions - How to Reset the Service Timer on an Atlas Copco G5 Air Compressor

Issue: After performing a service (Changing the oil and filters) on an Atlas Copco G5 Air Compressor, it is necessary to reset the service timer to clear the Service LED Light or SErU message.  

PLEASE PERFORM THE NECESSARY SERVICE BASED ON THE AIR COMPRESSORS SERVICE HOURS BEFORE RESETTING THE SERVICE TIMER

Procedure:

1. Press and hold the Start/Stop Button (3) for 3 seconds to stop the Compressor.
   1. DO NOT PRESS THE EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON. DAMAGE MAY OCCUR TO THE AIR COMPRESSOR.
2. Press and hold the Enter (7) button for 3 seconds to enter the main menu.
3. Scroll down to <dAtA> using the Scroll buttons (4 & 8).
   1. Press the Enter button (7) to select <dAtA>.
4. Scroll down to <d.6> using the Scroll buttons (4 & 8).
   1. Press the Enter Button (7) to show the Service Hours timer.
5. Enter the password.
   1. The password will be either 9989 or 9889.
   2. The display will show "Y" or "N".
6. Select "Y" by pressing the Enter Button.
7. The Service Hour Timer will reset.
8. Press Enter (7) multiple times to exit the menus to the main Display.   
9. Press and hold the Start/Stop Button (3) for 3 seconds to start the Compressor.
