Tire Shine Weight:
The distribution weight of the driver side tire shine brush will need to be adjusted so both the DS and PS brushes extend at the same speed. In order to do this, you will need to adjust the 7'16 set screws located horizontally against the top and bottom of each bearing (4 total per bearing).
Looking at the image for example, this is the driver side bearing closest to the tunnel exit. You will need to need to make the top of the bearing move to the left and the bottom of the bearing move to the right. This will essentially make the brush "heavier" and extend at a faster rate. If you need to make the tire shine brush lighter, you will shift the set screws in the opposite direction, think of gravity. **Only turn set screws 1/2 to a full turn at a time - then test to see how the brush extends**
- overturning may have negative results
Extend/ Retract PSI:
3. Once the tire shine brush is weighted evenly and correctly, you will need to dial in the air pressure for the extend/ retract. Dial these in based on how the brush extends and retracts. You do not want the brush to be aggressive in either direction and should extend and retract with ease. A good rule of thumb is around 25 PSI for extend and 40 PSI for retract.
Timing:
4. Once the tire shine brush is fully dialed in, you will need to fine tune the timing of when the brush extends and when it retracts from the pulses in the iPad. The brush should extend so the very front of the brush extends into the side of the tire and retracts after the rear wheels are no longer in contact with the brush.
