Issue: Vacuums tripping breaker after it rains
Description of problem:
Customer is having an issue where every time it rains their vacuums keep tripping the breaker and needs to be reset constantly.
Things to check: • Check for vacuum leaks in the door seals, if vacuum can leak through so can water
• Check for worn out or broken vacuum hoses dragging on the ground these could be in a puddle causing water to get sucked up
• Check for excessive water intrusion into the vacuum motor enclosure
• Check for proper seal between the hose and the vacuum swivel quick disconnect cup. This joint should have a bead of silicone during installation to prevent water intrusion.
Customer found that the seal between the hose and vacuum swivel did not have a good application of silicone, he re-applied the silicone and now when it rains his vacuums don’t trip the breaker.
Silicone these joints
