LED Troubleshooting
LED lights can fail for several reasons, but typically they hold up well in wet environments, have low operation costs, and provide a nice additional touch for express washes. Failure comes from 3 main causes.
Internal failure: Happens when moisture penetrates into the LED housing. This usually happens at either end of the light strip where the back sealer separates.
Transformer failure: There have been cases where the transformer goes bad, typically when more than two LED light strips are connected to one transformer. Each transformer is made to run two lights strips only. Any more will cause failure. There is an internal reset in the transformer that resets when not in use (typically overnight).
Faulty Wiring: There are two set of wires on each light strip, one on either end. Either set can be used, however they have to be input in the correct order. This is very simple. If incorrectly set they will simply not work. Trial and error is the easiest way to determine the correct configuration. If a strip burns out connect the strip directly to the transformer to test.
